A Special Request

We just found out this afternoon that my
father in law has Esophageal Cancer.
He is otherwise a healthy 62 year old...
so the doctor is optimistic about
treatment as long as the cancer hasn't spread.
He'll be getting more tests to determine that
within the next week or so.

It's been quite an emotional journey so far
for our family as we have waited to get
blood work and test results.

You never can quite understand until it
affects someone in your own life...
your own family.

It's scary.

I know that my father in law is a fighter though...
and he wants to watch Eloise grow up.
So he will do what he can to get past this.
And we'll be there right along with him.

PLEASE... keep us all in your prayers!
Pray for the comfort and strength for
him and our family as we deal with the unknowns.
And pray that it hasn't spread so
that surgery can take place
to kick this cancer in the butt!!

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your father in law ~ I will definetly pray for you all. My step father found out a few months ago he had cancer but thankfully it was able to be removed ~ but there is always the fear it isn't gone! I'll be praying for a major butt kicking for him!

  2. So sorry for this news! Will keep your family in my prayers! Eloise needs her grandfather to watch her grow up!
    Take care

  3. We serve a great big God who can bring healing & kick this cancer in the butt. Lifting your FIL up in prayer as well as you & your family. Sending you a hug girl. Blessings!

  4. I have been, and will continue praying Devon! I have also shared this with others and asked for their prayers, as well.
When you or Cory are feeling the effects of this diagnosis on your hearts...please watch this:
...always know that through the most difficult times is when we are held by a God Who created us and loves us! xoxoxo

  5. I'm praying for strength to overcome for your FiL and peace and stability for his family to be able to comfort him and those affected.
Sorry you have so much on your plate right now, momma!
    Remember you're in God's hands!

  6. Covering your father in law and your family in prayers! As awful as this is just remember that God doesn't give you more than you have the strenght to handle.

Thanks for stopping by! I love to hear what you have to say!
